~GENERAL INFO~
My prices are very cheap, generally starting at $10 for preferred medium and subject-- that is to say equines done in pencil and on either printer or medium-weight paper. Other subjects or media will increase the price, as will a background.

Below I have arranged the media in a format that is basically "lowest to highest price." Under that I have listed suggested price for a few pieces in my gallery, so as to give you an idea of my rates.

Media available:
Graphite pencil
Colored pencil
Charcoal
Ink
Pastel
:new: Watercolor :new:
:new: Acrylic :new:
Oil

Paper/canvas available:
8.5 x 11 inch printer paper
8.5 x 11 inch medium-weight paper
9 x 13 inch medium-weight paper
18 x 12 inch medium-weight paper (50 sheets)
:new: 8 x 10 canvas board :new:
:new: 11 x 14 Yupo synthetic watercolor paper (20 sheets) :new:
11 x 14 canvas
20 x 24 "art-board" paper (5 sheets)

(Also note that I have gesso, so I can prime other surfaces for painting as well.)

~OLDER INFO~
I, the aforementioned Starving Artist, am taking commissions -- as the title to this journal entry implies. :)

Just about every part of the commission is negotiable, but here are some guidelines I have (and am still in the process of developing.)

The subjects that I draw most often and am most familiar with are horses and horse-like animals, though I also draw deer/antelope. I am willing to attempt dogs/cats, humans, dragons, etc. as well. (Feel free to ask me if I can draw something for you! :)) Also, check out my drawings for examples of my art: [link]

The medium is graphite and/or charcoal on 8.5 x 11 inch medium weight paper. (It's the best material I can afford right now -- keep in mind it is GOOD paper.)

Now, the price (which includes shipping) is largely negotiable, and may take into account many factors, such as the time and effort I put into your commission. Keep in mind that I will NOT be charging you beforehand and will NOT charge you if I do not finish your request; so you don't have to worry that you're throwing money into something that's not going to come to fruition. :)

If you're curious or confused about anything, or are the least bit interested in commissioning me, please feel free to note me. :D

Ah! I know how it feels! Maybe I'll have money again in a month or two . . . Hope you get a few commissions! I did get some great tips from *DancesWithHorses about getting started with making art into a career rather than a hobby. She suggested donating pieces to places that would have an interest in your art. Equine vet offices, for example. And then leaving a huge pile of business cards with every one! I am going to start doing that next summer. Maybe that'll help you?
